Description
ADAMDEC1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is human recombinant ADAM-like protein decysin-1 (ADAMDEC1) with a 6His tag at the C-terminus.ADAMDEC1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is produced by mammalian expression system in human cells.
Background
ADAM-like Decysin-1 (ADAMDEC1) is a member of the ADAM family and a secreted type of metalloprotease. ADAMDEC1 contains a signal peptide, a prodomain, a catalytic domain, and an incomplete disintegrin domain. ADAMDEC1 contains the ADAM consensus sequence for the proteolytic activity and exhibits a metalloproteinase activity for α2-macroglobulin (α2M) in vitro. The expression of ADAMDEC1 is upregulated in the mix culture of normal and RasV12-transformed epithelial cells, which facilitates apical extrusion of the transformed cells[1].
