BAI3 Protein, Human (HEK293, His)
Based on 1 Customer Validation
BAI3 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is a recombinant human brain-specific angiogenesis inhibitor 3 produced in HEK293 cells. Brain-specific angiogenesis inhibitor 3 (BAI3) is a member of the cell-adhesion class of G protein-coupled receptors that are expressed at high levels in the brain. BAI3 is a high-affinity receptor for C1q-like proteins.

Description
BAI3 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is a recombinant human brain-specific angiogenesis inhibitor 3 produced in HEK293 cells. Brain-specific angiogenesis inhibitor 3 (BAI3) is a member of the cell-adhesion class of G protein-coupled receptors that are expressed at high levels in the brain. BAI3 is a high-affinity receptor for C1q-like proteins[1].
Background
BAI3 is from the adhesion group of seven-transmembranespanning G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and has been identified via gene expression profiling asbeing upregulated in small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) tumors. It has subsequently been validated as a sen-sitive and specific immunohistochemical marker for SCLC, helping to differentiate these tumors frommorphologically similar large-cell neuroendocrine (LCNEC) malignancies[2].
Verified Bioactivity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Human C1qL3 is immobilized at 1 µg/mL (100 µL/well) can bind Human BAI3. The ED50 for this effect is 0.7891 μg/mL.
