CD97 Protein, Human (HEK293, hFc)

Cat. No.: HY-P75370
COA Handling Instructions

CD97, a receptor crucial for leukocyte migration, participates in adhesion and signaling during early leukocyte activation. Forming a heterodimer with a large extracellular alpha subunit and a seven-transmembrane beta subunit, CD97 interacts with complement decay-accelerating factor (DAF). The largest isoform (isoform 1) specifically engages with chondroitin sulfate, showcasing its diverse roles in cellular processes. CD97 Protein, Human (HEK293, hFc) is the recombinant human-derived CD97 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag. The total length of CD97 Protein, Human (HEK293, hFc) is 378 a.a., with molecular weight of 100-110 kDa.

Background

CD97, a receptor with potential involvement in both adhesion and signaling processes during early leukocyte activation, plays a crucial role in facilitating leukocyte migration. This receptor forms a heterodimer, comprising a large extracellular alpha subunit non-covalently linked to a seven-transmembrane beta subunit. CD97 interacts with complement decay-accelerating factor (DAF) and the largest isoform (isoform 1) specifically engages with chondroitin sulfate, highlighting its diverse interactions in cellular processes.

Biological Activity

Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized human CD55 at 2 μg/mL (100 μl/well) can bind human CD97 with a linear range of 1.28-32 ng/mL.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

  • Specific Activity Calculator

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration
= ÷

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
