CLEC5A/MDL-1 Protein, Rat (HEK293, His)

The CLEC5A/MDL-1 protein positively regulates osteoclastogenesis and regulates inflammatory responses. It acts as a critical macrophage receptor for dengue virus serotypes 1-4, triggering signaling through TYROBP phosphorylation. This interaction stimulates the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines without viral entry. CLEC5A/MDL-1 Protein, Rat (HEK293, His) is the recombinant rat-derived CLEC5A/MDL-1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with N-His labeled tag.

CLEC5A/MDL-1 functions as a positive regulator of osteoclastogenesis and serves as a cell surface receptor that signals through TYROBP, thereby modulating inflammatory responses. In the context of microbial infection, particularly as a critical macrophage receptor for dengue virus serotypes 1-4, CLEC5A plays a crucial role. The interaction between dengue virus and CLEC5A leads to signaling events involving the phosphorylation of TYROBP, which, interestingly, does not facilitate viral entry but rather induces the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines.

Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Mouse Galectin-9 Protein is immobilized at 0.5 µg/mL (100 µL/well) can bind Recombinant Rat CLEC5A. The ED₅₀ for this effect is 12.26 ng/mL.
