Integrin alpha A1 beta 1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His)

Customer Review

Based on 1 Customer Validation

ITGA1 Protein, a cell surface receptor, plays a crucial role in cell adhesion, migration, and tissue development. Dysregulation of ITGA1 Protein has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and fibrosis. Targeting ITGA1 Protein may provide potential therapeutic interventions in these conditions by modulating cell adhesion, inhibiting tumor growth, and preventing tissue fibrosis. Integrin alpha A1 beta 1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is a recombinant protein dimer complex containing human-derived Integrin alpha A1 beta 1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag. Integrin alpha A1 beta 1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His), has molecular weight of 160-200 kDa.

Background

The ITGA1 protein, also known as integrin alpha-1/beta-1, functions as a receptor for laminin and collagen. It specifically recognizes the proline-hydroxylated sequence G-F-P-G-E-R in collagen. Additionally, ITGA1 is involved in the anchorage-dependent negative regulation of EGF-stimulated cell growth. It forms a heterodimer with a beta subunit, associating with beta-1. ITGA1 also interacts with RAB21 and with PTPN2, activating PTPN2 phosphatase activity towards EGFR and exerting a negative regulation on EGF signaling.

Product Properties

Appearance

Lyophilized powder

Formulation

Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of 50 mM Tris, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.5, 8% trehalose.
Note: For SPR assay, please replace the buffer. Primary amine components (e.g., Tris, imidazole) can affect protein-coupled chips.

Endotoxin Level

<1 EU/μg, determined by LAL method.

Reconstitution

It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O.

Storage & Stability

Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
