Kappa-Casein Protein, Human (HEK293, His)

Customer Review

Based on 1 Customer Validation

Kappa-casein (CSN3) is a member of Caseins family, and is an extracellular mammalian milk protein involved in several important physiological processes. CSN3 prevents casein precipitation in milk and increase the efficiency of digestion, prevention of neonate hypersensitivity to ingested proteins, and inhibition of gastric pathogens. Kappa-Casein Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived Kappa-Casein protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Description

Kappa-casein (CSN3) is a member of Caseins family, and is an extracellular mammalian milk protein involved in several important physiological processes. CSN3 prevents casein precipitation in milk and increase the efficiency of digestion, prevention of neonate hypersensitivity to ingested proteins, and inhibition of gastric pathogens. Kappa-Casein Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived Kappa-Casein protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Background

Kappa-casein (CSN3) is a member of Caseins family, and is an extracellular mammalian milk protein involved in several important physiological processes. CSN3 stabilizes micelle formation, preventing casein precipitation in milk. Chymosin splits CSN3 into an insoluble peptide (para kappa-casein) and water-soluble glycomacropeptide (GMP). GMP is responsible for an increased efficiency of digestion, prevention of neonate hypersensitivity to ingested proteins, and inhibition of gastric pathogens[1][2].

Product Properties

Appearance

Lyophilized powder.

Formulation

Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of 20 mM PB, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.4.

Endotoxin Level

<1 EU/μg, determined by LAL method.

Reconstitution

It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).
