Description

NPR1/NPRA Protein, Mouse (HEK293, mFc) is the recombinant mouse-derived NPR1/NPRA protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-mFc tag.

Background

NPR1/NPRA is a receptor for the atrial natriuretic peptide NPPA/ANP and the brain natriuretic peptide NPPB/BNP, which are potent vasoactive hormones playing a key role in cardiovascular homeostasis. It plays an essential role in regulating endothelial cell senescence and vascular aging. Upon activation by ANP or BNP, NPR1/NPRA stimulates the production of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), which promotes vascular tone and volume homeostasis by activating protein kinase cGMP-dependent 1/PRKG1 and subsequently PRKAA1, thereby controlling blood pressure and maintaining cardiovascular homeostasis.
