Biological Activity
Description
p73 beta Protein, Human (sf9, GST) is the recombinant human-derived p73 beta, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with GST labeled tag. ,
Background
p73 alpha is a protein involved in the apoptotic response to DNA damage. Isoforms containing the transactivation domain are pro-apoptotic, while those lacking this domain are anti-apoptotic and inhibit the function of p53 and transactivating p73 isoforms. It may act as a tumor suppressor protein. Additionally, p73 alpha is an activator of FOXJ1 expression (by similar) and serves as an essential factor for the positive regulation of lung ciliated cell differentiation.
