SLC2A5 Protein, Human (HEK293, His-MBP, Flag) is the recombinant human-derived SLC2A5, expressed by HEK293 , with His, MBP, Flag labeled tag. ,

Background

SLC2A5 functions as a fructose transporter with low activity for other monosaccharides. It can mediate the uptake of 2-deoxyglucose, albeit with low efficiency. SLC2A5 is essential for fructose uptake in the small intestine (by similar). Additionally, it plays a role in regulating salt uptake and blood pressure in response to dietary fructose (by similar) and is required for the development of high blood pressure due to high dietary fructose intake (by similar).
