Stabilin-2 Protein, Human (His)

Customer Review

Based on 1 Customer Validation

Stabilin-2 protein is a multifunctional phosphatidylserine and hyaluronic acid receptor that engulfs apoptotic cells and mediates hyaluronic acid endocytosis. As a systemic scavenger receptor, it binds various ligands and supports extracellular matrix turnover and body mobility. Stabilin-2 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived Stabilin-2 protein, expressed by E. coli , with C-His labeled tag.

Description

Stabilin-2 protein is a multifunctional phosphatidylserine and hyaluronic acid receptor that engulfs apoptotic cells and mediates hyaluronic acid endocytosis. As a systemic scavenger receptor, it binds various ligands and supports extracellular matrix turnover and body mobility. Stabilin-2 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived Stabilin-2 protein, expressed by E. coli , with C-His labeled tag.

Background

Stabilin-2 Protein serves as a multifunctional phosphatidylserine receptor, facilitating the engulfment of apoptotic cells, and functions as a hyaluronan receptor, mediating the endocytosis of hyaluronic acid (HA). Additionally, it acts as a primary systemic scavenger receptor, binding to various ligands such as heparin, chondroitin sulfate, dermatan sulfate, non-glycosaminoglycan molecules, acetylated low-density lipoprotein, pro-collagen propeptides, and advanced glycation end products. Stabilin-2 may play a crucial role in maintaining tissue integrity through support for extracellular matrix turnover and contribute to the fluidity of bodily liquids by resorbing hyaluronan. This receptor also functions as a counter receptor, facilitating lymphocyte recruitment in the hepatic vasculature, and displays the ability to bind Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, potentially playing a role in defense against bacterial infection. The proteolytically processed 190 kDa form of Stabilin-2 serves as an endocytosis receptor for heparin internalization, hyaluronan, and chondroitin sulfate. Interactions with GULP1, heparin, alpha-M/beta-2 integrin, and thymosin beta 4 further underscore the diverse functions of Stabilin-2.

Verified Bioactivity
