TEAD1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His)
Based on 1 Customer Validation
TEAD1 protein is a key transcription factor that plays a crucial role in the Hippo signaling pathway, regulating proliferation and apoptosis to control organ size and suppress tumors. TEAD1 mediates a kinase cascade involving MST1/MST2, SAV1, LATS1/2, and MOB1, leading to inactivation of YAP1 and WWTR1/TAZ. TEAD1, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived TEAD1 protein, expressed by HEK293, with labeled tag.

Background
TEAD1, a pivotal transcription factor, assumes a crucial role in the Hippo signaling pathway, a pathway integral to organ size control and tumor suppression by regulating proliferation and apoptosis. Within this pathway, TEAD1 participates in a kinase cascade involving MST1/MST2, SAV1, LATS1/2, and MOB1, leading to the phosphorylation and inactivation of the YAP1 oncoprotein and WWTR1/TAZ. By mediating the gene expression of YAP1 and WWTR1/TAZ, TEAD1 governs cellular processes such as proliferation, migration, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Notably, it binds specifically and cooperatively to the SPH and GT-IIC 'enhansons,' activating transcription in a cell-specific manner, with the activation function potentially mediated by a cell-specific transcriptional intermediary factor (TIF). TEAD1 is also implicated in cardiac development and interacts with YAP1 and WWTR1/TAZ, emphasizing its intricate involvement in regulatory networks.

Product Properties
Lyophilized powder
Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of 20 mM Tris-HCl, 0.5 M NaCl, 6% trehalose, pH 8.0.
Note: For SPR assay, please replace the buffer. Primary amine components (e.g., Tris, imidazole) can affect protein-coupled chips.
<1 EU/μg, determined by LAL method.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O . For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).
Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
Room temperature in continental US; may vary elsewhere.
