Description

CHST1 protein is a protein involved in the sulfation process of glycosaminoglycans. It plays a crucial role in regulating cellular functions such as cell adhesion and signaling. TRF1 Protein, Human (sf9, His) is the recombinant human-derived TRF1 protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with N-His labeled tag.

Background

The TRF1 Protein is encoded by this gene and serves as a telomere-specific component within the telomere nucleoprotein complex. Maintained at telomeres throughout the cell cycle, TRF1 acts as an inhibitor of telomerase, playing a crucial role in limiting the elongation of individual chromosome ends. The protein structure features a C-terminal Myb motif, a dimerization domain near its N-terminus, and an acidic N-terminus. Multiple transcripts of this gene result from alternative splicing. TRF1 displays ubiquitous expression, with notable levels detected in the brain (RPKM 11.2), ovary (RPKM 9.8), and 25 other tissues. This broad expression pattern underscores its essential role in various physiological contexts across multiple organs.
