(S)-5-Acetamido-2-aminopentanoic acid (compound 7) (1 mM; 20 min) does not function as a valid glutamine analog in U87/EGFRvIII cells, as it lacks temperature-dependent active transport and glutamine-dependent competitive uptake[1].
