MJ-33 is a competitive phospholipase A₂ (PLA₂) inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.3 μM. MJ-33 inhibits the activation of NOX2 by blocking the PLA₂ activity of Prdx6, thereby reducing the production of ROS. MJ-33 effectively inhibits the activity of acidic PLA₂ (pH 4.0), reduces the degradation of pulmonary surfactant phosphatidylcholine (PC), but has no effect on alkaline PLA₂ (pH 8.5). MJ-33 significantly alleviates lung oxidative damage induced by ischemia-reperfusion (I/R). MJ-33 significantly inhibits the invasive, migratory and adhesive abilities of prostate cancer cells by suppressing the MAPK, AKT, NF-κB and AP-1 signaling pathways. MJ-33 can be used to study ROS-related diseases and prostate cancer .

SL-017 is a novel photoacoustic sensitizer and a derivative of photofrin B. It can be taken up by cells to the maximum extent within 30 minutes and is mainly localized in mitochondria. After being activated by visible light or ultrasound, SL-017 can significantly increase the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Low concentrations of SL-017 can rapidly cause the loss of mitochondrial membrane potential. SL-017 can also cause mitochondrial fragmentation, a process that occurs after the loss of membrane potential. Epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs) can alleviate the loss of mitochondrial membrane potential caused by SL-017, but the antioxidant ascorbic acid has no such effect. These characteristics indicate that SL-017 mainly targets mitochondria and exerts its cytotoxic effect by triggering the collapse of mitochondrial membrane potential, generating ROS, and causing mitochondrial fragmentation. As a novel photoacoustic sensitizer, SL-017 has potential application value in photodynamic therapy and sonodynamic therapy.

Chinese herbal therapy is an important part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It has been used for centuries in China, where herbs are considered fundamental therapy for many acute and chronic conditions. Many studies indicated TCM exerted an overall regulatory effect via multi-component and multi-target network. Active components from Traditional Chinese Medicine possess many medicinal properties such as antioxidant, anti-cancer, and anti-bacterial effects, which makes it an important source of new drugs. Nearly 200 modern medicines have been developed either directly or indirectly from the plants used as medicines in China. For example, artemisinin, used in multidrug resistant malaria, was first isolated from the Chinese herb Artemisia annua L. Today, scientists continue to identify compounds in Chinese herbal remedies that may be useful in the development of new therapeutic agents applicable in Western medicine.

MCE designs a unique collection of 3,279 active compounds of Chinese Herbal Medicines. MCE Traditional Chinese Medicine Active Compound Library is a useful tool for discovery new drugs from TCM.

Antimicrobial Peptides (AMPs), also known as antimicrobial peptides or antibiotic peptides, are a class of polypeptides encoded by specific genes in various biological cells and induced by external stimuli. They exhibit broad-spectrum bioactivity against bacteria, fungi, viruses, protozoa, and even tumor cells. AMPs serve as crucial effector molecules in the host's innate immune system.Due to their wide antimicrobial spectrum, low toxicity to normal cells of higher animals, high safety profile, low tendency to induce resistance, and additional benefits such as immune enhancement and antioxidant effects, antimicrobial peptides hold significant promise in new drug development.

MCE offers 57 types of antimicrobial peptides, which can be applied in high-throughput screening for research in anti-infection therapies, immunotherapy, anticancer drug development, and agricultural disease control.

Go 6983 GMP is Go 6983 (HY-13689) produced by using GMP guidelines. GMP small molecules works appropriately as an auxiliary reagent for cell therapy manufacture. Go 6983 is a dual inhibitor targeting Suv39h1/2 (KMT1A/KMT1B) and PKC, as well as a transcriptional activator capable of inducing DNA hypomethylation. Go 6983 stimulates the transcription of Prdm14 by reducing Suv39h1/2 protein levels, decreasing histone modifications in the Prdm14 promoter region, and increasing the recruitment of RNA polymerase II. Go 6983 induces genome-wide DNA hypomethylation by inhibiting de novo methyltransferase expression and increasing Tet1/Tet2 levels, thereby promoting self-renewal and pluripotency maintenance of stem cells. Meanwhile, Go 6983 can block PKC-mediated signaling pathways to reduce the expression of EMT-related genes and eliminate the upregulation of antioxidant genes downstream of NRF2. Go 6983 is mainly used in mechanism studies related to myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury .
