The native Troponin I (104-115) peptide mimics full-length troponin I to inhibit rabbit skeletal acto-S1-tropomyosin ATPase activity with a C₅₀ of 0.6 nmol per assay, achieving 60.6% maximum inhibition at saturating concentrations^[1].
Troponin I (104-115) is sufficient to achieve maximum inhibition of reconstituted skeletal muscle acto-S1-TM ATPase activity, with an IC₅₀ of 2.25 μM, but is less potent than full-length troponin I or the larger Troponin I (96-148) fragment^[3].
