The enzyme does not require an activator but is inhibited by gluconolactone, alginolactone, castanospermine, 1-deoxynojirimycin, 1-azafagomine and its analogs, erythritol, and polyols.
Molecular weight: 135 kDa (β-glucosidase in almonds is a homodimer composed of 2 equal 65 kDa subunits)
Instructions
Soluble in water (1 mg/mL). Or dissolve in buffer according to specific experimental references.
β-Glucosidase correlates with soil organic carbon (SOC) content in soil samples[4].
