    Tissue_specificity:This gene is expressed in the kidneys, lungs, and prostate. Isoform 1 appears to be dominant, except in some normal prostate samples where isoform 2 is predominant. In breast cancer, including ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) , lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS) , and invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) (protein level) , and in various cancer cell lines, this gene expression is downregulated. Loss of expression is associated with histological grade, primarily occurring in high-grade lesions.
