Western blot analysis was performed on extracts from K562 (lane 1, 15 μg) using DcR2 Rabbit mAb.Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% non-fat milk in TBST at 4°C overnight. The primary antibody (1:1000 dilution) and the loading control antibody (beta Actin, HY-P80438, 1:20000 dilution) were incubated in 5% non-fat milk in TBST for 1 hour at 37°C.Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-HRP Secondary Antibody (1:20000 dilution) was then applied for 40 minutes at 37°C.
Background
-
Function
DcR2 receptor for the cytotoxic ligand TRAIL. Contains a truncated death domain and hence is not capable of inducing apoptosis but protects against TRAIL-mediated apoptosis. Reports are contradictory with regards to its ability to induce the NF-kappa-B pathway. According to, it cannot but according to, it can induce the NF-kappa-B pathway[1][2][3].

Subcellular Localization
Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein

Expression
Tissue_specificity:This gene is widely expressed, especially in the fetal kidneys, lungs, and liver, as well as in the human testes and liver. It is also expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes, the colon and small intestine, ovaries, prostate, thymus, spleen, pancreas, kidneys, lungs, placenta, and heart. -
