Verification Image

Western blot analysis of extracts from HEK293T(lane 2(20μg) , HepG2(lane 3(20μg) ,K562(lane 4(20μg)and Jurkat( lane 5(20μg) using PYCR2 Antibody (HY-P88268). Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% non-fat milk in TBST for 2 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (1/1000) and Loading control antibody (Beta Actin, HY-P80993，1/10000) was used in 5% non-fat milk in TBST at 4°C overnight. Goat Anti-Mouse IgG-HRP Secondary Antibody (HY-P8004,1/10,000) was used for 1 hour at room temperature.

Background

Function：Oxidoreductase that catalyzes the last step in proline biosynthesis, which corresponds to the reduction of pyrroline-5-carboxylate to L-proline using NAD(P)H (PubMed:23024808, PubMed:2722838, PubMed:6894153). At physiologic concentrations, has higher specific activity in the presence of NADH (PubMed:23024808, PubMed:2722838, PubMed:6894153). Involved in cellular response to oxidative stress (PubMed:25865492). In some cell types, such as erythrocytes, its primary function may be the generation of NADP(+) (PubMed:2722838, PubMed:6894153)
