  • Experimental Validation Results for von Willebrand Factor Antibody (YA6094)
Western blot analysis of extracts from Mouse spleen tissue (lane2, 20μg) and Rat spleen tissue (lane3, 20μg) using von Willebrand Factor Antibody (HY-P86402). Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% non-fat milk in TBST for 2 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (1/2000) and Loading control antibody (Beta Actin, HY-P80993, 1/10,000) was used in 5% non-fat milk in TBST at 4°C overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-HRP Secondary Antibody (HY-P8001,1/10,000) was used for 1 hour at room temperature.
  • Experimental Validation Results for von Willebrand Factor Antibody (YA6094)
Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human tonsil tissue using von Willebrand Factor Antibody (YA6094). The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer (pH 9.0) for 20 minutes. The tissues were probed with the primary antibody (HY-P86402, 1/400) overnight at 4℃. Background

  • Function

von Willebrand Factor is important in the maintenance of hemostasis, it promotes adhesion of platelets to the sites of vascular injury by forming a molecular bridge between sub-endothelial collagen matrix and platelet-surface receptor complex GPIb-IX-V. Also acts as a chaperone for coagulation factor VIII, delivering it to the site of injury, stabilizing its heterodimeric structure and protecting it from premature clearance from plasma

  • Subcellular Localization

Secreted; Secreted, extracellular space, extracellular matrix

  • Expression

    Tissue_specificity:plasma

  • Isoforms & Post-Translational Modification

    P04275 has 2 isomers: P04275-1: 309265 Da (predicted); P04275-2: 38745 Da (predicted).
