Endocytosis

Definition:

Endocytosis is the process by which cells take in substances from outside of the cell by engulfing them in a vesicle, includingnutrientsin the cell or pathogens destroyed by immune cells.Endocytosisalso regulates tumour metastasis, particularly migration and invasion.
