Biological Activity: 6-trans-(2''-O-α-Rhamnopyranosyl) ethenyl-5,7,3',4'-tetrahydroxyflavone is an inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) inhibitory flavonoid that can be isolated from Pogonatherum crinitum. 6-trans-(2''-O-α-Rhamnopyranosyl) ethenyl-5,7,3',4'-tetrahydroxyflavone inhibits iNOS mRNA expression in activated macrophages and reduces NO production. 6-trans-(2''-O-α-Rhamnopyranosyl) ethenyl-5,7,3',4'-tetrahydroxyflavone can be used for research on inflammatory diseases associated with excessive nitric oxide production[1].
