Biological Activity: Penta lysine is an antimicrobial peptide. Penta lysine inhibits the growth of Gram-positive bacteria (including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis) as well as Gram-negative bacteria (including Escherichia coli, Acinetobacter baumannii and Pseudomonas aeruginosa). Penta lysine induces hemolysis in human red blood cells. Penta lysine can be used in the research of bacterial infections (including MRSA and Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections)[1].
