Biological Activity: 15(R)-PTA2 (15(R)-Pinanethromboxane A2) is an antithrombotic agent that inhibits platelet aggregation. 15(R)-PTA2 inhibits stable prostaglandin endoperoxide analog-induced constriction of feline coronary arteries and stabilizes hepatic lysosomes. 15(R)-PTA2 also inhibits thromboxane synthase but has no effect on prostacyclin synthase[1].
