eGFP mRNA (N1-Me-Pseudo UTP) will express green fluorescent protein, originally isolated from the jellyfish, Aequorea victoria. The eGFP is a commonly used direct detection reporter in mammalian cell culture, yielding bright green fluorescence. The substitution with N1-Me-Pseudo UTP (m1Ψ) improves protein expression and reduces innate immune response.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
Transfected Hep 3B cells with unmodified, me1 ψ-, 5 moU-, or ψ-modified eGFP mRNAs. After 1h treatment, total RNA is collected at time intervals (t = 0, 1.5, 3, and 4.5 h) and reversely transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA). The amount of each eGFP mRNA is calculated by quantitative PCR (qPCR) analysis in normalization of endogenous 18S rRNA[1].
