MLS8969
MLS8969 is a selective human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) entry inhibitor with an EC50 of 0.12 μM (HFFs). MLS8969 reduces viral protein levels and inhibits nuclear staining of HCMV pp65. MLS8969 can be used in studies related to human cytomegalovirus infection.

MLS8969 potently inhibits HCMV strains in human foreskin fibroblasts (HFFs), with an EC50 of 0.12 μM[1].
MLS8969 exhibits multiplicity of infection (MOI)-dependent inhibition of pp28-luciferase reporter activity in human foreskin fibroblasts (HFFs) infected with human cytomegalovirus (HCMV), with strong inhibition at low MOI and extremely weak inhibition at an MOI of 1 PFU/cell[1].
MLS8969 reduces the protein levels of HCMV IE1/2, pp65, UL84 and UL44 in human foreskin fibroblasts (HFFs) when administered prior to infection at a multiplicity of infection (MOI) of 0.01 PFU/cell; however, it does not inhibit viral protein expression at an MOI of 1 PFU/cell[1].
