Samidorphan acts as an antagonist at μ‐opioid receptors and acts as a partial agonist at k-opioid and δ‐opioid receptors. Samidorphan primarily acts as an opioid receptor antagonist in vivo. Samidorphan can improve the behavior of depressed animals.
