L-Iduronic acid sodium salt 

L-Iduronic acid sodium salt is an important monosaccharide component of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) such as Heparin, Heparan sulfate and Dermatan sulfate^[1].

L-Iduronic acid-containing GAGs are bound by basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), which prevents infection of Hep-2 cells with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in vitro^[2].
