Biological Activity
L-Leucyl-4-nitroanilide (LpNa) serves as a substrate for extracellular leucine aminopeptidases 1 and 2 derived from Aspergillus oryzae (I.P.410). These two enzymes exhibit arylamidase activity toward LpNa, and this activity is inhibited by straight-chain alcohols (but not branched-chain alcohols) in a carbon chain length-dependent manner[1].
L-Leucyl-4-nitroanilide (Leu-4-NA) (25 mM; 2 h) is cleaved by purified aminopeptidase from Brevibacterium linens ATCC 9174, generating a colorimetric signal at 405 nm[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
