Annexin A13/ANXA13 Protein, Human
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Annexin A13 Protein, Human is a 35-kDa multifunctional protein which belongs to the annexin family. Annexin A13 is highly expressed in the digestive system and may plays a role in apoptotic cell-mediated immunosuppression, hypertension, and cell death recognition. Annexin A13 can be used as biomarker in CRC biomarker in colorectal cancer (CRC).

Biological Activity
Description
Annexin A13 Protein, Human is a 35-kDa multifunctional protein which belongs to the annexin family. Annexin A13 is highly expressed in the digestive system and may plays a role in apoptotic cell-mediated immunosuppression, hypertension, and cell death recognition. Annexin A13 can be used as biomarker in CRC biomarker in colorectal cancer (CRC)[1].
Background
The Annexins comprise a family of proteins that are involved in many aspects of cellular membrane dynamics and the regulation of membrane-associated proteins.ANX A13 is a calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein being preferentially located on the cytosolic face of the plasma membrane. Annexin A13 plays a role in cytoskeletal interactions, phospholipase inhibition, regulation of cellular growth, and intracellular signal transduction pathways. Human Annexin A13 shares approximately 86% and 91% aa sequence identity with mouse and dog Annexin A13.
