Biological Activity

Description

CDK14 Protein, Human (sf9, GST) is the recombinant human-derived CDK14, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with GST labeled tag.

Background

CDK14 is a serine/threonine-protein kinase involved in eukaryotic cell cycle control, with activity regulated by associated cyclins. During G2/M phase, it modulates the Wnt signaling pathway by phosphorylating LRP6 at 'Ser-1490' to activate the pathway. Through interaction with CCDN3, CDK14 regulates cell cycle progression and proliferation. In vitro studies demonstrate its ability to phosphorylate RB1, though in vivo relevance requires further validation. Potential roles in meiosis, neuronal differentiation, and indirect negative regulation of insulin-responsive glucose transport are suggested. by similar: Functional overlaps exist with other CDK family members (e.g., CDK1/cyclin B) in cell cycle regulation mechanisms.
