Biological Activity
GAK Protein, Human (GST) is the recombinant human-derived GAK, expressed by E. coli , with N-GST labeled tag.
GAK is a protein that associates with cyclin G and CDK5, functioning as an auxilin homolog involved in the uncoating of clathrin-coated vesicles by Hsc70 in non-neuronal cells. Its expression oscillates slightly during the cell cycle, peaking at G1 phase. GAK may play a role in clathrin-mediated endocytosis, intracellular trafficking, and the dynamics of clathrin assembly/disassembly. by similar: Its functional mechanism resembles that of auxilin.
The kinase activity of this recombinant protein is testing in progress, we cannot offer a guarantee yet.
