Biological Activity

Description

ACVR2A/Activin RIIA Protein, Rat (HEK293, His) is the recombinant rat-derived RIIA/ACVR2A protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-His tag.

Background

RIIA/ACVR2A is a transmembrane serine/threonine kinase receptor that forms a complex consisting of two type II and two type I receptors upon ligand binding. Type II receptors phosphorylate and activate type I receptors, which then autophosphorylate, bind, and activate SMAD transcriptional regulators. It serves as a receptor for activin A, activin B, and inhibin A, and mediates adipogenesis induction by GDF6. by similar: This mechanism is analogous to signaling by other TGF-β superfamily receptors.

Verified Bioactivity

1.This product does not contain protein kinase domain.
2.Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human Activin A, No Tag at 2μg/ml (100μl/well) on the plate can bind Rat Activin RIIA, His Tag. The ED50 is 0.36 μg/mL.
