Fibronectin, bovine plasma is a fibronectin derived from bovine plasma. Fibronectin is an extracellular matrix protein that is upregulated and essential in many developmental processes, and also exists in the pathological progression of tissues and wound healing. Fibronectin specifically binds to a large number of molecules, including other components of the extracellular matrix, signaling molecules and cell adhesion molecules. The interaction between cells and fibronectin leads to bidirectional crosstalk, which regulates cell functions and induces cell-dependent changes in the extracellular matrix. Fibronectin, bovine plasma inhibits the production of bovine leukemia virus (BLV) p24 core protein in naturally infected bovine peripheral blood mononuclear cells .

IP6C is a specific inhibitor and phage sensitizer targeting type II Thoeris systems. IP6C competitively binds to histidine in the catalytic pocket of ThsB, blocks the production of the His-ADPR alarm signal and inhibits ThsA activation, thereby relieving bacterial stasis of phage replication. IP6C selectively resensitizes drug-resistant bacteria carrying type II Thoeris systems (such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa) to phage lysis, without affecting other bacteria, and shows no toxicity to mice and human cell lines. IP6C significantly improves the survival rate of infected mice, and can be used to overcome bacterial phage defense mechanisms and study Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections . Thoeris system: (named after the Egyptian goddess of fertility and protection), is a widespread anti-phage immune defense system in bacteria and archaea. Thoeris system belongs to the "Abortion Infection (Abi)" mechanism of bacteria: when an individual bacterium detects phage invasion, it initiates a suicide program and dies, thereby blocking phage replication and spread, and protecting the surrounding bacterial population from infection.

Cell death is a core biological process that maintains homeostasis in multicellular organisms, playing a dual role in life activities. On one hand, cell death participates in physiological processes such as cell renewal and damage repair through precise regulation; on the other hand, it actively eliminates damaged, infected, or cancerous cells, thereby blocking pathological progression and preserving organism health. Cell death not only ensures the normal development and growth regulation of organisms but is also closely associated with the occurrence and development of various diseases. Numerous studies have shown that specific types of programmed cell death play critical roles in disease progression, providing an important theoretical basis for developing novel therapeutic strategies by regulating cell death pathways.
MCE offers 22 types of commonly used cell death inhibitors, such as apoptosis, ferroptosis, pyroptosis, and cuproptosis, suitable for use as positive controls in the study of novel cell death mechanisms.

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a hepatotropic enveloped positive- strand RNA virus (family Flaviviridae) that infects the parenchymal cells of the liver. HCV infection is a significant public health burden. Globally, an estimated 71 million people have chronic hepatitis C virus infection. A significant number of those who are chronically infected will develop cirrhosis or liver cancer. To date, there is no vaccine against HCV, and combination pegylated alpha interferon (pIFN-) and ribavirin, the main standard-of-care treatment for HCV, is effective in only a subset of patients and is associated with a wide spectrum of toxic side effects and complications. More recently, new therapeutic approaches that target essential components of the HCV life cycle have been developed, including direct-acting antiviral (DAA) that specifically block a viral enzyme or functional protein and host-targeted agents (HTA) that block interactions between host proteins and viral components that are essential to the viral life cycle. However, the genetic diversity of HCV viruses and the stage of liver disease (i.e., cirrhosis) are revealing themselves as obstacles for effective, pan-genotypic treatments. There still exists a need for the discovery and development of new HCV inhibitors. In particular, since the future of HCV therapy will likely consist of a cocktail approach using multiple inhibitors that target different steps of infection, new antivirals targeting all steps of the viral infection cycle.
MCE offers a unique collection of 391 compounds with identified and potential anti-HCV activity. MCE Anti- Hepatitis C Virus Compound Library is a useful tool for discovery new anti-HCV drugs and other anti-infection research.
