Tetrahydroaminopterin (NSC 524120) (up to 1 mM) shows no detectable inhibitory effect on partially purified rat liver phenylalanine hydroxylase in both spectrophotometric assays and tyrosine-forming activity assays^[1].
Tetrahydroaminopterin (up to 1 mM; 10 min; 27°C) exhibits no intrinsic cofactor activity in the rat liver phenylalanine hydroxylase-catalyzed conversion of phenylalanine to tyrosine^[1].
