Tubercidin 5'-triphosphate tetrasodium
Tubercidin 5'-triphosphate tetrasodium (7-Deazaadenosine 5'-triphosphate tetrasodium) is an ATP (HY-B2176) analogue. Tubercidin 5'-triphosphate tetrasodium is hydrolyzable by Myosin B. Tubercidin 5'-triphosphate tetrasodium induces weak contraction of rabbit psoas myofibrils.

Biological Activity
Tubercidin 5'-triphosphate (Compound II) (0.15 mM) tetrasodium can be hydrolyzed by rabbit skeletal muscle myosin B under conditions of high ionic strength with Ca2+ (0.6 M KCl, 7 mM CaCl2, pH 7.0, 20°C), and its hydrolysis rate is 49% of that of ATP[1].
Tubercidin 5'-triphosphate (0.15 mM) tetrasodium can be hydrolyzed by rabbit skeletal muscle myosin B under conditions of low ionic strength with Mg2+ present (0.075 M KCl, 2 mM MgCl2, pH 7.0, 20°C), and its hydrolysis rate reaches 270% of that of ATP[1].
Tubercidin 5'-triphosphate (0.1 mM) tetrasodium induces weak contraction of rabbit psoas myofibrils under the conditions of 0.04 M K+Cl−, 2 mM MgCl2, pH 7.0 and 23°C, which is evidenced by the formation of subtle contraction bands[1].
