13b,14-Dihydrorutaecarpine
13b,14-Dihydrorutaecarpine is a cytotoxin derived from dihydrorutaecarpine. 13b,14-Dihydrorutaecarpine exerts selective cytotoxicity against central nervous system (CNS) and prostate cancer cell lines (GI50=0.02 μM and 0.2 μM). 13b,14-Dihydrorutaecarpine can be used in the research of central nervous system (CNS) cancer, ovarian cancer, prostate cancer and renal cancer.

13b,14-Dihydrorutaecarpine (compound 29a) potently inhibits the growth of human central nervous system cancer cell line U251, human prostate cancer cell line DU145 and human ovarian cancer cell line SKOV3, with GI50 values of 0.02 μM, 0.2 μM and 3 μM, respectively[1].
13b,14-Dihydrorutaecarpine shows weak activity against human lung cancer cell line H522 and human renal cancer cell line ACHN, and exhibits no activity against melanoma cell line UACC62[1].
