Background

  • Function

HLA-DR is a heterodimeric transmembrane glycoprotein composed of two non-covalently linked chains: an α chain and a β chain. HLA-DR is primarily expressed on the surface of professional antigen-presenting cells (APCs). It functions in antigen presentation and coordinates T-cell activation and differentiation, thereby facilitating the generation of an effective immune response.
