Verification Images

  • Experimental Validation Results for ITGB7 Antibody (YA3914)
Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human spleen using ITGB7 antibody. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with EDTA (pH 9.0) for 14 minutes. The tissues were blocked in 5% BSA for 30 minutes at room temperature, washed with TBST, and then probed with the primary antibody (HY-P84217, 1/1000) for 30 minutes at room temperature. The detection was performed using Polymer HRP-conjugated Goat Anti-Mouse/Rabbit lgG(H&L) secondary antibody (HY-P83652). DAB was used as the chromogen. Tissues were counterstained with hematoxylin and mounted with DPX.

Background

  • Function

ITGB7 is an Integrin ITGA4/ITGB7 (alpha-4/beta-7) (Peyer patches-specific homing receptor LPAM-1) is an adhesion molecule that mediates lymphocyte migration and homing to gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) (Probable). Integrin ITGA4/ITGB7 interacts with the cell surface adhesion molecules MADCAM1 which is normally expressed by the vascular endothelium of the gastrointestinal tract. Also interacts with VCAM1 and fibronectin, an extracellular matrix component (Probable). It recognizes one or more domains within the alternatively spliced CS-1 region of fibronectin (Probable). Interactions involve the tripeptide L-D-T in MADCAM1, and L-D-V in fibronectin (Probable). Integrin ITGAE/ITGB7 (alpha-E/beta-7, HML-1) is a receptor for E-cadherin; (Microbial infection) Binds to HIV-1 gp120, thereby allowing the virus to enter GALT, which is thought to be the major trigger of AIDS disease. Interaction would involve a tripeptide L-D-I in HIV-1 gp120[1][2].

  • Subcellular Localization

Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein

  • Expression

Tissue_specificity:Expressed in a variety of leukocyte lines

    Induction:Induced by TGFB1

  • Isoforms & Post-Translational Modification

    P26010 has 2 isomers: P26010-1: 86903 Da (predicted); P26010-2: 71582 Da (predicted).

  • Subunit

    Heterodimer of an alpha and a beta subunit (PubMed:1542691). ITGB7/beta-7 associates with either ITGA4/alpha-4 or ITGAE/alpha-E (PubMed:1542691). Integrin ITGA4/ITGB7 interacts with MADCAM1 (PubMed:10837471). Integrin ITGA4/ITGB7 interacts with VCAM1 and fibronectin (Probable). Interacts with FLNA (via filamin repeats 4, 9, 12, 17, 19, 21, and 23) (PubMed:19828450)
