Milliamine C is a diterpenoid ester of the euphane type that inhibits the specific binding of phorbol-12,13-dipropionate to mouse epidermal particulate fractions and induces skin irritation, but exhibits very weak or undetectable tumor-promoting activity. Milliamine C can be used in studies related to skin tumor promotion.

In Vitro
Milliamine C (compound 4) inhibits the binding of [3H]-PDPr to cellular diterpene ester receptors[1].
Milliamine C (10 nM; 20 min) strongly inhibits the specific binding of [3H]-PDPr to epidermal particulate fractions from NMRI mice, with a Ki50 of 2.3 nM[2].
