Biological Activity: FR 78844 is an orally active bone resorption inhibitor. FR 78844 attenuates metaphyseal bone mineral density decreases in Streptozotocin (HY-13753)-induced diabetic rats, and Heparin (HY-17567A)-induced osteopenia, but does not affect vitamin D-deficient rat bone loss. FR 78844 can be used for the research of osteopenia[1][2].
