Biological Activity: ALK5 ligand-1 (a31's ALK5 ligand) is a ligand of Anaplastic lymphoma kinase ALK5 with higher selectivity for ALK5 than for ALK4. ALK5 ligand-1 can be used to synthesize PROTAC degraders targeting ALK5. ALK5 PROTACs induce ALK5 degradation dependent on the ubiquitin-proteasome system and exert antifibrotic activity. ALK5 ligand-1 can be used in studies of pulmonary fibrosis[1].
