Biological Activity: 7-O-Methylpuerarin is a 7-O-methylated derivative of puerarin that serves as a substrate for oxidation reactions. The glucosyl moiety of 7-O-Methylpuerarin undergoes regioselective oxidation to form 3''-oxo-7-O-methylpuerarin. 7-O-Methylpuerarin is a byproduct generated during the demethylation of 7,4'-di-O-methylpuerarin, and it can be oxidized by D3dgpA to produce 3''-oxo-7-O-methylpuerarin. 7-O-Methylpuerarin is applicable to studies related to the selective oxidation of glycoside oxidases[1][2].
