7-O-Methylpuerarin
7-O-Methylpuerarin is a 7-O-methylated derivative of puerarin that serves as a substrate for oxidation reactions. The glucosyl moiety of 7-O-Methylpuerarin undergoes regioselective oxidation to form 3''-oxo-7-O-methylpuerarin. 7-O-Methylpuerarin is a byproduct generated during the demethylation of 7,4'-di-O-methylpuerarin, and it can be oxidized by D3dgpA to produce 3''-oxo-7-O-methylpuerarin. 7-O-Methylpuerarin is applicable to studies related to the selective oxidation of glycoside oxidases.

Biological Activity
7-O-Methylpuerarin is formed in a small amount when 7,4′-di-O-methylpuerarin is treated with Me3SiI under reflux in chloroform for 4 days, and its C-7 methoxy group does not undergo further demethylation[1].
7-O-Methylpuerarin is obtained in 39% yield when 7,4′-di-O-methylpuerarin is treated with Me3SiI under reflux in acetonitrile for 5 days[1].
7-O-Methylpuerarin (1 mM) is regioselectively oxidized in vitro by purified D3dgpA to afford 3″-Oxo-7-O-methylpuerarin[2].
