Biological Activity
Fluorescein-12-dUTP serves as a substrate for Taq-polymerase in direct PRINS assays, enabling specific labeling of centromeric α-satellite DNA in fixed human metaphase chromosomes[1].
Fluorescein-12-dUTP serves as a substrate for AMV reverse transcriptase in direct PRINS assays, enabling specific labeling of mRNA[1].
Fluorescein-12-dUTP is efficiently incorporated into fixed Eyprepocnemis plorans and Tenebrio molitor chromosomes via in situ random primed extension, producing strong fluorescence that reveals species-specific chromatin accessibility differences[2].
