Fluorescein-12-dUTP (sodium) solution (1 mM) is a fluorescent labeling and detection reagent that can be used for nucleic acid synthesis. Fluorescein-12-dUTP (sodium) solution (1 mM) can be used to synthesize labeled DNA probes for in situ hybridization, microarray or western blot analysis^[1][2][3][4].

Fluorescein-12-dUTP serves as a substrate for Taq-polymerase in direct PRINS assays, enabling specific labeling of centromeric α-satellite DNA in fixed human metaphase chromosomes^[1].
Fluorescein-12-dUTP serves as a substrate for AMV reverse transcriptase in direct PRINS assays, enabling specific labeling of mRNA^[1].
Fluorescein-12-dUTP is efficiently incorporated into fixed Eyprepocnemis plorans and Tenebrio molitor chromosomes via in situ random primed extension, producing strong fluorescence that reveals species-specific chromatin accessibility differences^[2].
