Glycerol‑3‑phosphate dehydrogenase from rabbit muscle catalyzes the reversible redox reaction between dihydroxyacetone phosphate and L‑α‑glycerol‑3‑phosphate in vitro using NADH as a co-substrate. It is non-competitively inhibited by NADH‑X, and its catalytic activity is regulated by pH and divalent metal cations[1].
