Animal Model:Male Sprague–Dawley rats (Jcl:SD), 5 weeks old[3]
-
Dosage:1, 28, 284, 408 mg/kg
-
Administration:Intravenous bolus injection via the tail vein, once daily, for 14 days
-
Result:Caused treatment-related proteinuria on days 7 and 13.
Caused a pale kidney appearance.
Caused the deposition of dense basophilic granules in the glomeruli (von Kossa-positive) and a dose-dependent degeneration of the glomerular and parietal epithelium.
Caused podocyte fusion, increased microvilli, abundant debris in Bowman's spaces, and low-density lamellar structures in various parts of the glomerulus.
Showed particles containing phosphorus and calcium mixed with a lamellar structure.
