Pyridin-3-ylboronic acid
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Pyridin-3-ylboronic acid is a synthetic building block belonging to the pyridine boronic acid class. Pyridin-3-ylboronic acid serves as a substrate for the Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction to construct oligopyridine backbones. Pyridin-3-ylboronic acid also acts as a heteroaryl boronic acid in the phosphine-free Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction of 2-iodogalactal. Pyridin-3-ylboronic acid is applicable to research related to organic synthesis.

Biological Activity
Pyridin-3-ylboronic acid is used in the Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction to produce 3′-methyl-3,2′:5′,2″:5″,3‴-quaterpyridine and 3′,3″-dimethyl-3,2′:5′,2″:5″,3‴-quaterpyridine, with yields of 73% and 76%, respectively[1].
Pyridin-3-ylboronic acid undergoes a Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction with 2-iodogalactal 5 to yield the 3-pyridyl-substituted 2-arylglycal product 11f with an isolated yield of 89%[2].
