BCAM Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293, His)

Customer Review

Based on 1 Customer Validation

BCAM protein is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and a receptor for the extracellular matrix protein laminin. BCAM inhibits proliferation, migration, and invasion of trophoblast cells by inhibiting PIK3R6/p-STAT3 signaling, which may lead to placental dysplasia, resulting in a preeclampsia-like phenotype. BCAM also promotes ovarian cancer metastasis. BCAM Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293, His) is the recombinant cynomolgus-derived BCAM protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Background

BCAM protein is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and a receptor for the extracellular matrix protein laminin. BCAM may play a role in red blood cell vessel occlusion in epithelial cell carcinoma and sickle cell disease. BCAM has been shown to interact with laminin α5. BCAM also promotes ovarian cancer metastasis. BCAM inhibits proliferation, migration, and invasion of trophoblast cells by inhibiting PIK3R6/p-STAT3 signaling, which may lead to placental-dysplasia, resulting in a preeclampsia-like a phenotype[1][2][3][4].
